The Summer League UEFA Stars: Players we know will qualify for ESC in the summer

Joshua Young brings us a fascinating look at some of the players whose teams have already qualified for UEFA action in Summer 2026

Andy Watson: I think that this is a really fun piece of strategy, especially for League One and League Two clubs.

We already know that appearances in qualification rounds of continental competitions allow a player to qualify for an ESC slot. We also know that in summer leagues, the UEFA qualifying spots from the 2025 domestic campaign have already been filled.

I asked Joshua Young to put these two pieces of knowledge together to bring us some players that UK clubs could do some work on prior to the summer to be ready to take advantage of their ESC status come the qualifiers.
