Rafiu Durosinmi (2003) - CF - Viktoria Plzen (Czechia, Band 4) - Contract Expiry: 2026
Premier League, Bundesliga, Top of the Championship? What type of player is the Nigerian?
I guarantee that you will see this player’s name doing the rounds this summer, it seems inevitable that Rafiu Durosinmi will move on this summer, but will his destination be England?
If he hadn’ t have suffered a serious knee injury which sidelined him for the whole of the first half of the season, then it is likely that he may have moved in January, but as it stands, he played only 800 minutes this season, but what he proved in that 800 minutes is that he has come back strong from that injury.
The limited sample size makes his data slightly unreliable, but he ranks as by far the best striker in the Chance Liga in that time period. He ranks well in all of the main #9 roles, and his sheer size is always going to make him a threat from a physical perspective.
In terms of his chances of going to England, his lack of minutes means that he just misses out on a GBE, but obviously he is eligible for an ESC. Every Championship and Premier League club will begin the summer with at least one ESC slot available, and it is likely that any one of them would consider Durosinmi.
He has been linked to Premier League and Bundesliga clubs, but is he ready for the very top level?
He is not infallible, and our James Doolan watched his performance against Bohemians 1905 to report back.
