This week will see The GBE Expert Hub take a deeper look into UEFA competitions. It is frightening to say, but it actually isn’t that long until UEFA competition begins again with the opening qualifiers for the 2025/26 Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League.
Matej Sin has qualified for the second round of qualifiers for the Europa League with Banik Ostrava, which was also the case last season. Unfortunately for Sin, and his teammates, they failed to progress into any league stage, had they done so, it is highly likely that Sin would qualify for a straight GBE.
He is a player to keep an eye on if he doesn’t leave Ostrava this summer, as if the Czech club are successful in getting into a league stage, he would be a GBE option for January.
However, as James Doolan reports here, Sin could well be a player who is well worth an ESC slot for this summer.
